Remodel Before & After – 1781 El Monte Dr.

As promised here is the big reveal of our remodeled home on El Monte Drive. Within days of being listed it is already in escrow!

As shown in a previous post this home needed a lot of updating. The entire house was painted, inside and out, all lighting replaced and flooring updated. It’s incredible how different the space looks once these cosmetic fixes were complete. Take a look for yourself at these impressive before & after photos!

Dumpster aside, the curb appeal of this home in Old Meadows was greatly lacking! A thorough yard clean-up, new sod & plants did the trick.

The front entrance had a stone facade that kept it firmly in another decade! Once the stone was removed, the exterior painted and a beautiful new rustic wood door installed, it looked much more inviting.

The kitchen was the biggest transformation in the house. The entire area was completely redone from top to bottom! The stunning new kitchen has new cabinets, granite slab countertops, stone backsplash and stainless appliances. Hardwood floors continue throughout this area since it is open to the dining area and great room.

The main living room gets gorgeous hardwood floors and neutral paint. The fireplace looks completely new with its revamped hearth and mantle. Doors and frames get a crisp coat of white paint to make them stand out from the wall color.

Beige carpet and loads of natural light make the great room appear so much larger. Take a look at that beautiful vaulted ceiling!

The sliders were removed in the great room to make it more functional. The height of windows allow light to enter the room without losing prime wall space for that big screen tv !

The bedrooms were “neutralized” with beige paint and white trim. Using dark hardware such as door knobs and hinges makes the look current.

The master bathroom was completely gutted. The new bath is now a relaxing retreat with tile floors, granite counters, large framed mirror and new lighting. The oil rubbed bronze faucets match the other dark hardware throughout the house.

The backyard is now what it is meant to be – a serene place to relax and take a dip!

We have another property that has recently been remodeled! This one is located on a fabulous corner lot in the Old Meadows neighborhood of Thousand Oaks. Here are some photos that were taken a few weeks ago as work was underway. I will be posting the “After” photos real soon as this property has just hit the market, so be sure to come back!

This 2,200 sq.ft. single story was built in 1954 and currently has 4 bedrooms + 1 3/4 bathrooms.

The main living room is striped and prepped for a complete overhaul.

The large family room has high, wood-beamed ceilings that will be such a nice architectural feature after a little TLC. Look at all the natural light that comes in from those sliders & french doors!!

Baseboards, flooring and old lighting are removed in the bedrooms. They will get a fresh coat of paint & nice new carpet & light fixtures.
